Sunbeam is an english fishing smack built in Lowestoft on the british east coast in 1905. Orginally built for sailing trawling on the North Sea and Atlantic its construction in oak is very sturdy. In the thirties she was bought to Sweden and was used as cargo ship along the coasts of Scandinavia until she was sold to a group of marine biologists in Uppsala in the end of the sixties. Since then a a long process of restoring the ship to its former glory has taken place and in 2005 the interior of the hull was completely rebuilt. The ship is nowadays mainly used for charter purposes, allthough some marine research is allso carried out on board. INGOT made the plan layout and kitchen design for the interior rebuilding.
